My Dream Job
Hello again in another Pablo´s blog, this time I´m going to talk about the work I wanted to do when I was a child.
When I was child I wanted to be a astronaut. I have always been fascinated to know what is beyond this planet, just thinking about it blows my mind to look at dark and infinite horizon. As I grew older, that possibillity more and more distante, I always envious of my schoolmates for being clear about what they wanted to be. For me it was impossible to just choose one possibility because if I think about it there are infinities possibilities.
After some time, I got third grade and I had to choose an elective, I choose to go to physics, it was difficult those two years, I took that option because I had the same idea of being of architect, but a part of me took if to be an astronaut.Last days of fouth grad, you have to prepare for the PSU, the day before you had to recognize the classroom and I asked the manager if I could give the history ones too and he said yes. In the end I didn´t give becasuse they took over the headquarters where I was going to give it so they used the NEM score to replace the history score.
Obviously I would prefer to work in person rather than online because I consider sociology to be a tacful career.
If I think about it the more I travel the better sociologist since I could contrast different societies, thus really checking what the theoretical texts say, but the only more reliable way to learn something is through practice and empirical knowledge.
I have not the slightest idea of the salary of a sociologist, but I think it is around $600.000 - $800.000 Chilean pesos. I think that´s enough to keep buying Brandon Sandeson´s books. And a I said I would like to be an astronaut, but now I am a Cosmerenaut.
it was nice reading about your journey that brought you to sociology :)
